Very likely.
The Bible requires first and foremost to have lawful conduct in secular society. This means obeying the laws of your constitution, your national legislation and any provincial laws.
Most people would fail there so there is no need to continue the conversation on ethical and moral conduct according to the Bible.
For those who have been an adult for at least a few years and have not had any encounters with Law Enforcement, its worth continuing the discussion.
People are usually most familiar with the 10 commandments, to summarize it forbids the following:
- Idolatry – Worship of inanimate objects such as movie posters, baseball cards, crosses, crucifixes, small statues, keychain charms, etc.
- Stealing
- Killing
- Adultery and fornication
- Desiring what your neighbor has
- Committing perjury
- Working on the Sabbath
The punishment for these sins is cursing your children, grand children and great grand children and great great grand children with the wrath of God.
In addition to cursing up to 4 generations of your descendants, there is the issue of going to hell. Of the sins listed in the 10 commandments, the following will also ensure you do not go to Heaven:
- Thieves
- Killers/Murderers
- People who cheat on their spouse.
- People who have sex without being married.
- Drunks
- Drug Users
- Drug Traffickers
- Pharmacologists
- Therapists who prescribe mental health drugs
- People who are always angry
- People who want what their neighbors have
- People who have rivalries and adversaries
- People who are obsessed with money
- Party goers
- Homosexuals
So these are people who will not get into heaven but the final question is will you go to hell? The Bible says that people with the following specific behaviors will additionally go to hell and not just be prevented from entering heaven.
- Up to 4 generations of your descendants that you cursed.
- Cowards
- non-believers
- killers/murderers
- people who sleep around a lot
- drug users and drug vendors (illegal or legal)
- people who worship inanimate objects
- liars
- those who don’t help the poor
- those not granted life in heaven
So then the question is who is going to heaven and the answer is:
Not a lot of people. The size of New Jerusalem is currently rated at 1,400 miles by 1,400 miles with a height of 1,400 miles.
It is approximately 75 miles to the edge of the Earth’s atmosphere so this would make the height of New Jerusalem 20 times the height of Earth’s atmosphere.
This would make New Jerusalem hold approximately 900 Billion people using the population density of New York, London or Tokyo.
However, something as simple as getting angry, having some alcoholic drinks or sleeping around on the weekend can get you sentenced to hell.
